2019 GMC SIERRA AT4 VS. 2019 GMC SIERRA DENALI IN EDINBURG, TX
GMC has wholly redesigned the Sierra 1500; the 2019 model year represents an all-new generation. Here to stay is the range-topping Denali trim, which focuses on luxury; new for this generation is the off-road-ready AT4 trim. What do these two trims have in common, and how do they differ?
UNDER THE HOOD
Both the 2019 Sierra AT4 and the 2019 Sierra Denali are available with the same two engines. The 5.3-liter V8 engine creates 355 horsepower and 383 lb-ft of torque, while the available 6.2-liter V8 cranks out 420 horsepower and 460 lb-ft of torque.
ON THE OUTSIDE
The exterior of the Denali and AT4 have some differences. The Denali trim, as the Sierra’s most luxurious option, includes a lot of eye-catching chrome, including a chrome grille, chrome mirror caps, chrome window trim, chrome fog light surrounds, a chrome bumper, and a chrome fender applique. The AT4, as the fierce-looking off-road model, goes with intimidating black trim wherever the Denali has chrome.
ON THE INSIDE
The 2019 Sierra AT4 and Denali share similarities inside. The key difference for the interior is in the color: The AT4 uses black leather interior with brown accents, which differs slightly from the Denali, which gets unique badging and colored trim pieces.
Because the Denali is the range-topping model, it comes with more features included, though almost every feature you can get on the Denali, you can also get for the AT4. The big highlight for 2019 is the Multi-Pro tailgate with six unique configurations. Both models come with this world’s-first function.
Both the 2019 GMC Sierra AT4 and the 2019 GMC Sierra Denali are competitively priced. Again, the Denali is the Sierra’s top trim, so it is more expensive, but you get more standard content at a higher price.
Whether you prefer the AT4 or the Denali, we have both versions of the Sierra in stock here at Bert Ogden Buick GMC.
